Originally released in 1994, Nightdive’s System Shock is a remake of the classic shooter in which you fight your way through an army of mutants and cyborgs to thwart the plans of a villainous artificial intelligence called the Shodan that threatens Earth. In order to save humanity, you will need to explore the Citadel station. This remake offers the original experience with a number of improvements, including improved graphics, updated controls, new sounds and music, a new interface and more.
While 15 of the story-related achievements are secret, the rest of the list requires us to experience almost everything Citadel Station has to offer, including plenty of collectibles. Several achievements are associated with killing enemies in different ways, such as getting a kill with the “Overhead Monitor” – yeah, get crushed! While most of the achievements seem to be miscellaneous or cumulative, you’ll also need to complete System Shock on its “hardest difficulty” if you want to get the full 1,000G, so that can be potentially tricky.

While System Shock’s achievements look like they could be quite time-consuming, Nightdive’s recent Star Wars: Dark Forces Remastered seems like a fairly quick completion.
