Merseyside millionaire village with mega mansions and coastal views

It’s easy to see why Caldy is one of the most desirable places to live in the UK.

Lined with giant villas, the Wirral village is one of the millionaires’ playgrounds in the region, home to local celebrities and footballers, with Robbie Fowler, Ian Rush and Rafa Benitez all living over the years. Property experts from across the country recently gave their verdict on the UK’s most sought-after villages – and Caldy has made it into the top 30.

The village was praised for “offering visitors stunning views of the River Dee and the Welsh hills”. Wirral estate agent Liam Gretton told Mail+: “Often the area is associated with Premier League footballers and celebrities looking for privacy.”

Among the highly regarded educational institutions in the area is Calday Grange Grammar School, which James Bond actor Daniel Craig attended as a sixth form student. We took a look at life in the exclusive Merseyside enclave, where properties sold for an average of £939,295 over the past year.
