A Royal Caribbean passenger has died after jumping from the world’s largest cruise ship.
An unidentified man jumped 80 feet from the huge Icon of the Seas shortly after she left Florida on Sunday.
Was on the first night of a week trip to Honduras.
“The ship’s crew immediately notified the US Coast Guard and began a search and rescue operation,” Royal Caribbean told DailyMail.com in a statement.
“Our care team is actively providing support and assistance to guests’ loved ones during this difficult time. For the privacy of the guest and their family, we have no further details to share.’
The man was in critical condition when he was taken back to the ship, where he was pronounced dead

“The cruise ship deployed one of their lifeboats, found the man and brought him back on board,” the Coast Guard told the New York Post.
“He was pronounced dead. Other than assisting in the search, the US Coast Guard was not very involved in this incident.”
Passengers shared images of the rescue on social media as the search continued, with some claiming he had been found alive.
The man was in critical condition when taken back to the ship, but was later pronounced dead.

A passenger who shared footage of the rescue crew said on X: “Right now on the sea icon.
“Someone jumped/fell overboard and a search operation is now underway. Little chance of them finding each other. Keep your loved ones close, guys.’

In April, 20-year-old Levion Parker jumped overboard from a Royal Caribbean cruise ship in front of his horrified family.
The 18-story Liberty of the Seas was traveling between Cuba and the island of Grand Inagua in the Bahamas when the shocking incident occurred.
