BMW has officially revealed the EVO specification of its M4 GT3 ahead of the car’s 2025 debut, while also announcing that an updated version of its GT4 car will debut next year.

As first reported by Sportscar365, the Munich marque will introduce the M4 GT3 EVO to its global customer base in 2025, after the original car’s initial three-year run is complete.

It is the first time BMW has announced and introduced the Evo kit to its customers, with development led by factory drivers Augusto Farfus, Jens Klingmann and Bruno Spengler.

As stated by BMW and previously outlined by motorsport chief Andreas Roos, the brand’s focus was primarily on handling, efficiency and reliability, rather than trying to increase performance.

Visually, the M4 GT3 EVO has redesigned, smaller rear-view mirrors as well as larger air outlets on the front wheel arches. In addition, the changed rear wing adjustment range offers greater aerodynamic efficiency.

Meanwhile, the front and rear lights on the Evo have also been redesigned compared to the predecessor.

Underneath, new anti-roll bars were mounted on the front and rear axles, larger rear brake discs and a new, easier-to-adjust differential were also implemented.

BMW said the net price of the car is €578,000 ($628,655).

“Our engineers listened very carefully to feedback from our customers during the development of the EVO cars,” said Bjorn Lellmann, head of customer racing at BMW M Motorsport.

“The result, in our opinion, is models that make it even more possible to be consistently close to the limit without taking too many risks, exactly what drivers of all classes need to be fast.

“Our goal is to win big races with our BMW M4 GT3 EVO while providing every BMW M Motorsport customer with a package that offers the maximum chance of success.”

M4 GT4 EVO announced; Available to customers from 2025

In addition, BMW announced that the Evo version of its GT4 car will be available to customers from 2025.

The current M4 GT4 made its customer racing debut last year, with American team Turner Motorsport most notably winning the GS title in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge in the car’s first season.

Other notable achievements include the GT4 European Series powered by the RAFA Racing Club Championship for Hofor Racing by Bonk Motorsport, while Zac Anderson won the Silver Cup in Pirelli GT4 America.

Most recently, Random Vandals Racing duo Kenton Koch and Kevin Boehm drove their M4 GT4 to victory in the series’ first-ever three-hour endurance race at the Circuit of The Americas.

While the M4 GT4 EVO will be on display alongside its larger sibling at the ring°boulevard during the N24 weekend, a BMW spokesperson told Sportscar365 that details of the updated car will be revealed at a later date.
