One cold December evening in 2009, a woman named Kristina returned home after spending the weekend at her boyfriend’s house. Waving in the wind on a porch deep in Sweden, she discovered the strangest thing—a tiny three-piece navy corduroy suit.

It was so small that only a 10-year-old could fit in it – but when her son grew up, Kristina had no idea who put her there. Living alone by a lake and 30 minutes from the nearest town, she was certain that whoever was behind this mystery knew her.

So Kristina, who was in her fifties at the time, tucked the evidence away in a closet and asked everyone she knew if they had any idea who might be behind this strange incident. But nobody seemed to know anything.

Then, 18 months later, the mystery intensified.

When Kristina returned home that April evening, she discovered another strange gift on the front porch. This time, a small, classic case containing a tiny pillow, a toiletry bag, a toothbrush, a Hawaiian shirt, a comic book, used but clean underwear, leather-colored tights, and a pair of old swimming goggles.

Kristina was now terrified that these two incidents were a sign of something more sinister. Due to the remoteness of her location, she felt that the culprit must follow her and wait for her to leave.

So did she have a stalker? Or was it just a friend’s attempt as a stupid prank?

Kristina again asked everyone she knew in a desperate attempt to find answers, but no one seemed to know anything. She even threatened to go to the police in hopes of scaring the culprit into confessing.

However, after a year or so of questioning those closest to her, she still wasn’t any closer to the truth. She was sure that even the police would not take this case seriously, so she decided to admit defeat and let things lie.

After 15 years, Kristina may finally be close to finding out who left a strange collection of items on her front porch, as the true crime podcast team takes on the case.

Well, sort of.

Four years since ‘poodunit’ On the hit comedy podcast Who Shat On The Floor At My Wedding, advertising executive turned amateur detective Lauren Kilby is back to solve the mystery of the little suit. She is joined by friends – and fellow 2020 podcast stars – Karen Whitehouse and Helen MacLaughlin.

The trio’s first case – which has since been downloaded 6 million times – was about trying to find out which of their guests had left a very public poo at Karen and Helen’s wedding reception, and saw Lauren lightly adopt some. unique investigative techniques.

With their second series titled The Case of The Tiny Suit/Case centering on a brand new mystery, the gang insist the new investigation has made them more cynical than ever.

“This whole experience made us realize that even your closest friends and family can have some seriously weird things going on behind closed doors,” Karen explains to Metro. “This second season is no different. It was really eye-opening.”

And again, it’s a mystery close to home, as Kristina is Lauren’s mother-in-law.

“The three of us were spending some time at my in-laws to discuss a potential new mystery for season two when my mother-in-law started bringing up this case,” Lauren explains. “The great thing is that he’s so eager to solve it and before he dies, he wants to know who the culprit is. She also kept the evidence and that gave us a big incentive to start the investigation.”

This season, the detectives will use their favorite fan-involvement techniques to put suspects through polygraph tests and ask forensic experts for their thoughts and theories.

Lauren says that during one task, she even took the hanger the suit was hanging on and tried to raid people’s wardrobes to see if she could find a match. Forensic psychologist Professor Mike Berry also goes undercover at a party full of suspects as Karen’s “crazy uncle”.

“This time we have some real experts on the case,” explains Karen. “Though we still accept our inexperience and utter lack of ability.

“We’re very proud of our amateur following,” adds Lauren. “But this time we also have real evidence. No one kept poop from Karen and Helen’s wedding. They obviously weren’t thinking like detectives.’

Lauren and Karen admit they all felt under a lot of pressure to get answers after failing to solve the poo mystery from season one. But they assure fans that this season will not disappoint.

“We find out something we didn’t expect, and there’s a twist at the end that’s really shocking,” says Karen.

And the trio may already have their plot for season three as Lauren admits she was recently the victim of a similar crime to her mother-in-law.

“Somebody sends me a lot of mayonnaise,” he says. “Mysterious person. 15 liters of the stuff and I hate mayonnaise. These podcasts taught me that you can’t trust anyone. I suspected my friend. Who knows? Someone managed to laugh at Karen and Helen’s wedding, so people are just weird.’

“You even accused me of sending you mayonnaise!” Karen laughs.

“It created tension,” Lauren agrees, nodding. “You don’t know who to trust.”

“I don’t trust anyone now,” he adds.

As for the original “poodunnit” mystery, Karen and Lauren say that while the culprit remains at large, they have new evidence that could lead to a bonus episode.

“There have been updates,” Karen teases. “Further interrogations need to be done.” I think our friends and family are worried that they could be dragged into an episode at any moment.”

“Everybody’s scared of us now,” Lauren adds. “Don’t move or we’ll start the podcast on you.”
