Doom: The Dark Ages officially revealed by id Software

Doom is back. At the Xbox Games Showcase, series developer id Software revealed Doom: The Dark Ages, a medieval take on the legendary FPS franchise that will be coming to PC and consoles later this year. The first game of the project revealed a game that is both undeniably Doom and looks like nothing fans of the franchise have seen before. This could have an interesting twist escaped official detectionbut the trailer is still great.

Check out this first trailer, which features the first shots of the chainsaw shield, some impressive gore mechanics, and some brutal new weapons.

State of Decay 3 reappears with a new trailer

Developer Undead Labs exposed State of Decay 3 until 2020 and we finally got another trailer at this year’s Xbox Games Showcase. Footage of the zombie survival game has revealed footage that encourages players to look for signs of hope as waves of zombies descend on them and their friends. The trailer mostly sets up the world of State of Decay 3 while introducing some terrifying new enemies, which you can now check out in the video above.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard trailer reveals a better look at BioWare’s next RPG

BioWare showed up at the Xbox Games Showcase to give gamers what’s arguably theirs the best look yet at the recently renamed Dragon Age: The Veilguard. In addition to a host of new information, the footage revealed that several familiar faces will be returning.

The Starfield DLC trailer shows the first look at Shattered Space

Starfield has been out for almost a year, so it’s finally time to learn more about its first major expansion, Shattered Space. Bethesda has been talking about DLC content for a while now, but today’s trailer finally gave us a clearer look at how it will expand on the already massive sci-fi RPG universe with new colorful locations and story moments. Although a release date outside of the 2024 launch promise hasn’t been revealed, Starfield players can look forward to a slate of new content launching later this evening.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Trailer Reveals 2025 Launch

The Xbox Games Showcase gave gaming fans plenty of updates on the games they already know about, but also revealed new games such as Kepler and Sandfall Interactive’s third-person adventure game, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Only a handful of new titles are known about this mystical Xbox title little beyond the fact that it promises to come to Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X | S and PC sometime in 2025. You can watch the first trailer, which is full of stunning locations and strange enemies, above.

South of Midnight gameplay trailer reveals magical combat in the swamps

South of Midnight reappeared at the Xbox Games Showcase to bring a look at the wet swamp environment and the combat that players can enjoy as they adventure through it. This stylized third-person title was earlier revealed as another title from the We Happy Few team last year and features cutscenes with fascinating stop-motion-like movement. Expect to see more of his magical gators and catfish as we get closer to his release on Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X | S and PC in 2025.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater trailer sets up Konami remake

Konami has been tight-lipped about details on its Metal Gear Solid 3 remake, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. However, during the Xbox Games Showcase we got to see some gameplay, including some highlights from the opening moments of the game, Snake using his iconic CQC techniques, and even a fight against a helicopter. Although more than a few major characters, such as the Boss himself, appeared in this trailer for the first time, we were still left without a release date.

The Perfect Dark reboot finally resurfaces with a first look at gameplay

Perfect Dark has remained in the shadows since its reveal many years ago, but during today’s Xbox Games Showcase, Microsoft finally gave us a nice long look at what The Initiative team and Crystal Dynamics have been up to. An extended look at the gameplay shows Agent Dark sneaking around the city streets while taking out enemies in style. Perfect Dark looks good so far, but we still don’t have a release date. However, the trailer did at least confirm that the title will be available on Game Pass on day one.

Fable conjures up a first look at the gameplay

Playground Games has shown us a few small glimpses of its next Fable game, but today’s look gave us a nice long look at its gameplay for the first time. Specifically, the footage focused on Humphry, a retired hero who warns us about what it takes to get into this new magical world. We’ll learn more about this new take on the franchise and its giant toads as we get closer to its 2025 release on Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X | S and PC.
