Ubisoft Forward 2024: Everything Announced

Ubisoft Forward 2024 is complete and has brought a slew of new games for a pair of open-world games coming out later this year: Star Wars Outlaws and Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Additionally, Ubisoft revealed Anno 117: Pax Romana and told us that Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake is coming in 2026. Read on to find out everything that happened during the event.

New Star Wars Outlaws gameplay revealed

Ubisoft kicked off the show with new gameplay from Star Wars Outlaws, showcasing gameplay across different systems in the galaxy. We got a great look at Outlaws’ infamous hive of scoundrels and villains, which will feature corrupt officials and businessmen you’ll be able to interact with. We also saw a space fight as Kay got into an optional fight that helped improve her standing in the Pyke Syndicate. From there, the game went to Tatooine, where we saw the Mos Eisley Cantina, Kay driving through the desert on her speeder, and an infiltration mission where Kay tracked down an old gunslinger who can teach her valuable skills. Star Wars Outlaws overview trailer

Following the gameplay demo, Ubisoft shared a sneak peek trailer for Star Wars Outlaws that showcases the cooperative dynamic between Kay and her companion Nix. We also got a look at the reputation system, where Kay can gain unwanted attention from crime syndicates depending on how she handles certain missions.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake will be released in 2026

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake has been in development for a very long time, and today Ubisoft revealed that it will be released in 2026. No footage was shown, but at least we finally have a release window for the long-awaited remake.

Game Assassin’s Creed Shadows Deep Dive

We got a big look at Assassin’s Creed Shadows, showing the nature of the dual structure of the game’s protagonist. In one case, players could choose to play as Yasuke or Naoe to take on a mission in one of two ways: Samurai Yasuke wanted to run through the front gate, while Shinobi Naoe wanted to sneak across the rooftops. In-game footage showed us Naoe’s journey as she crept around the castle grounds after dark. Check out our new Assassin’s Creed Shadows trailer to learn more.

Anno 117: Pax Romana revealed

Ubisoft has announced the next entry in the Anno city builder series. The new entry, titled Anno 117: Pax Romana, introduces the series to the long-desired setting of the ancient Roman Empire. Coming to PC, Xbox Series X|S and PS5 sometime next year.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown DLC revealed

Several updates are coming to Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, including a free content update available now that includes new outfits, amulets, and platforming challenges called Divine Trials. After that, Ubisoft teased a story DLC called Mask of Darkness, which will be released this September. Additionally, The Rouge Prince of Persia: The Temple of Fire update adds new content to the roguelite franchise that hit early access earlier this year.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – The Sky Breaker is coming next month

We have a trailer for The Sky Breaker, the next big story DLC coming to Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. It launches as part of the psas gaming season on July 16.

XDefiant Season 1 starts next month

Ubisoft has shared an update on XDefiant which reveals that Season 1 will begin on July 2nd. XDefiant is in its pre-season right now, and the full launch of the first season will add a lot of new features, including Capture the Flag, a new ranked progression system, three new free weapons, and one new map per month. We’ve seen new maps called Daytona and Clubhouse that will soon join the XDefiant map rotation. Full season 1 reveal coming July 1st.

Skull and bones update

Skull and Bones Season 2: Chorus of Havoc is in full swing and we’ve learned what the season will bring, including the Megalodon we’ll be up against, a new maneuverable ship called The Brig, and timed boat races. Fleet management is also in the works, a feature requested by the community. Season 3 is called Into the Dragon’s Wake, and Ubisoft has shared some of the new characters that players can encounter in the upcoming season, including the Flying Dragon sea monster to fight against, as well as a new 5v5 PvP mode.

Crew Motorfest Year 2 schedule revealed

A brand new island is coming to The Crew Motorfest’s second year of content, as Ubisoft has detailed what to expect from the second year of its live-service driving game. And we saw a trailer for The Chase Squad, new story content coming in November.
