Galaxy Watch 7, Watch Ultra, Watch FE will reappear

Samsung will launch the company’s next set of smartwatches at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10, 2024. It will have three models, the Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch Ultra, and Galaxy Watch FE. The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has now certified three upcoming wearable devices.

According to various leaks, we know that the Galaxy Watch 7 will have four variants, the SM-L300, SM-L305, SM-L310 and SM-L315, the Galaxy Watch Ultra will have one variant, the SM-L705F, and the Galaxy Watch FE will also have one variant, SM-R861. Well, the Bureau of Indian Standards has just certified these six models (via 91Mobiles).

This suggests that Samsung is preparing to launch three smartwatches in India. This is not surprising as Samsung has brought all the smartwatches it has recently launched to the Indian market. However, certification gives us confirmation. The brand might launch three wearables in India right after their global launch.

The Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra will have much faster processors

According to a recent leak, the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra will have a chipset with five CPU cores and a 3nm manufacturing process. So in theory, these two smartwatches should be much faster and more energy efficient compared to Samsung’s current smartwatches, the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, which have a quad-core CPU chipset and a 5nm manufacturing process.

Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra will be equipped with L1+L5 dual-frequency GPS. In comparison, the Galaxy Watch 6 series models have single-frequency GPS. Future wearable devices will thus be able to more accurately track outdoor activities, including walking, running and cycling. Along with that, the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra will have 32GB of storage. Current models have 16GB of storage.

The package will include a stronger body and a brighter display

The Galaxy Watch 7 will be made of Armor Aluminum 2, another and probably stronger version of the Armor Aluminum that the Galaxy Watch 6 models are made of. The Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra will be equipped with an even harder Titanium Grade 4 material, similar to the Apple Watch Ultra 2. Watch 7 like the Watch Ultra, they will have Sapphire Crystal protection on the display, similar to the current models.

The story continues after the video…

The Galaxy Watch Ultra will also have 10 ATM water resistance. As for the display, the Galaxy Watch 7 will have a screen with a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits, similar to the Galaxy Watch 6 series models, while the Galaxy Watch Ultra will have a display with a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits, just like the Apple Watch. Ultra 2. We recently had a look at what the Galaxy Watch Ultra looks like, you can see the renders here.

The Galaxy Watch 7 will be available in 40mm and 44mm sizes, and in Wi-Fi and cellular only variants. On the other hand, the Galaxy Watch Ultra will only be available in 47mm size and only as a mobile model. All in all, the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra will have a sturdier body, faster performance, brighter display, longer battery life, and more accurate workout tracking compared to the Galaxy Watch 6 series models.

What about the Galaxy Watch FE?

The Galaxy Watch FE will be based on the Galaxy Watch 4 and will be an affordable smartwatch, just like the Apple Watch SE. That’s all we know about the Galaxy Watch FE at the moment. Hopefully, we’ll learn more about the upcoming affordable wearable as we get closer to the Galaxy Unpacked event.

At the event, Samsung will also launch the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, which bring huge improvements over their predecessors. Click on these links to learn more about them. Follow SamMobile on WhatsApp by clicking the link below for more such information.
