XDefiant has been a lot of fun since launch, but many fans have complained about overpowered snipers along with unpunished bunny hopping. Fortunately, these complaints have been addressed in the latest update from Ubisoft. Here you will find XDefiant June 12 Patch Notes Update Y1S0.3 to see all balance changes and fixes.

The release date for Season 1 has been revealed and it’s only a few weeks away. In addition to announcing the launch date for Season 1, the game’s executive producer said that Team Deathmatch will arrive in “a few weeks.” Search and Destroy is also coming, but Team Deathmatch is supposed to come first.

While we can’t wait for Season 1 to start and Team Deathmatch to arrive, many XDefiant fans will simply be happy that snipers received a nerf in the Y1S0.3 update notes.

XDefiant June 12 Patch Notes Update Y1S0.3

Below are the XDefiant June 12 Y1S0.3 patch notes:

  • Added aiming penalties for players who go to town using the jump/crouch buttons, aka the nuances of the jump spamming tactic, aka the insane use of jump spam. Opinions differ.
  • Players can now push a pack in Escort mode with confidence that their legs won’t separate from their torso and get stuck, which it did.
  • Various fine-tuning for long-range shooting, including a slightly reduced walking speed while holding your breath while controlling the scope, which makes sense when you think about it.
  • Reworked how snipers flinch when tagged by enemy fire, increasing the flinch and keeping it going through multiple hits.
  • Fixed a PC-specific issue where players could not set the ADS switch after completing a match and changing the game input.
  • Fixed an Xbox-specific issue where the Xbox button would crack in the in-game social menu after inviting a player from said console.
  • Fixed an issue that allowed blocked players to read your chat messages.
  • Improved the way ping is calculated in matchmaking so you have access to a wider group of players who share your ping characteristics.
  • Players couldn’t join an almost full game in progress despite being invited by someone already in the game, but good news: Now they can.
  • Fixed an issue where players could join an ongoing game that did not match their carefully customized controller and matchmaking settings.
  • Libertad’s medical skills were so powerful that they were sucking up bandwidth. This has been fixed (bandwidth issue, not healing potency, which remains intact).
  • Added more fixes to make Echelon players invisible only when using the Digital Ghillie Suit, not for life. They’re supposed to be sneaky, but come on.
  • Fixed how Libertad Combat Medicine feats are highlighted at the end of each round for well-deserved peer recognition.
  • The camera used to shake when an explosive detonated nearby, whether the explosion dealt damage to the player or not, but now the camera only shakes when an exploding explosive deals damage.
  • Adjusted the orientation of the flags on the Liberty map.
  • Crash fixes, miscellaneous.
  • We’ve reduced the frequency of “Banned for Toxicity” pop-ups because you know who you are.
  • Fixed an issue preventing players from deploying abilities and equipment after changing control input.
  • The Buzzkill Achievement was not unlocking, but now unlocks as scheduled.
  • Previously, cosmetic items were displayed as available in some places, but not where you could actually get them. This is now fixed.

For more XDefiant, the leak claims that we’re getting Far Cry and Assassin’s Creed-themed seasons in Year 1, and that Season 1 is adding Capture The Flag.
