Logitech today announced the launch of Keys-To-Go 2, a new portable wireless keyboard that is designed for tablets and mobile devices like the iPad and acts as a lightweight alternative for those who don’t want to invest in an Apple Magic Keyboard.
The keyboard is designed to work as a standalone device, so it doesn’t connect to an ‌iPad‌ and you’ll need to pair it with a stand or smart cover to work like a Mac. Available in lilac, light gray, and graphite, the Keys-To-Go 2 is just under 10 inches long, four inches wide, and weighs 7.84 ounces.
There is a built-in cover that protects the keyboard during travel and protects it from scratches and spills. It features scissor keys that have 1mm of travel for comfortable typing, and there’s the ability to connect up to three devices and quickly switch between them.
Logitech designed the keyboard with two layouts, including a universal layout and a dedicated Apple layout for iPhones, iPads, and Macs. The top row of keys contains several keyboard shortcuts for adjusting volume, media playback and screen brightness levels, as well as locking the ‌iPad‌ display.
The keyboard pairs with an ‌iPad‌ via Bluetooth, and there are replaceable coin-cell batteries that Logitech says will last up to three years, depending on use.
The Keys-To-Go 2 keyboard is priced at $80 and can be purchased on the Logitech website.
