Jet2 Belfast announces return of routes to Iceland for winter 2025/26

Jet2 has announced the return of popular trips to Iceland from Belfast International Airport for winter 2025/26.

Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks have announced details of their ‘individual trips’ to the destination, “unveiling an exciting program perfectly timed for those looking to experience the Northern Lights”.




The airline and city holiday operator have planned more specialist trips for next winter and a wider choice of dates is now available.

As part of the program, the companies will operate a total of three dedicated trips, including a four-day trip on December 3, 2025, a four-day trip on February 18, 2026 and a four-day trip on April 22, 2026.

The February trip is timed for the February half-term holidays, while the April trip falls on the Easter holidays and the December trip provides “the perfect countdown to Christmas”.

The statement said: “As well as giving customers more choice as to the month or season they wish to travel from Belfast International Airport, the flights are also perfectly timed for those looking to witness the spectacular Northern Lights and experience the best of Iceland. .

“Today’s release of the program is the first time the companies have launched their Iceland program from Belfast International Airport, giving Northern Ireland holidaymakers the chance to book in advance and tick the destination off their bucket list. The announcement of the program comes so early in the year in response to customer numbers, who book early when it comes to choosing a city trip to Iceland.

“With a wealth of natural wonders and a wide range of sights to see, Iceland continues to experience strong demand from customers and independent travel agents across Northern Ireland. From the world’s northernmost capital, Reykjavík, to its volcanic landscape and spectacular aurora night skies, it’s easy to see why Iceland is considered a once-in-a-lifetime trip.
