New British Airways sale – what are the best deals?

The British Airways and British Airways Holidays Summer Sale has launched for bookings until 11 July 2024, the original sale includes flights and holiday packages to beach and city destinations.

Sales are pretty weak in my opinion. In the long run I would expect US prices to be below £1600 for the east coast and they are not. Your best bet is to fly from Dublin where you can save a few hundred pounds per person up to £1000 per person on flights to the US. Doha is not bad at £1,598 and you could connect from there using Avios.

World Traveler Plus

Virgin Atlantic 40% off points on flights

To celebrate Virgin Atlantic’s 40th anniversary this weekend, Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Red have teamed up to offer 40% off the price of points when members buy any seat on Virgin Atlantic reward travel between Friday 21 June and Monday 24 June 2024. throughout 2024. There is no reduction in the taxes and fees you have to pay, which can be close to £1000 per person in the Upper Class. You can also find details of their cash sales here.

All Virgin Atlantic routes are included in the sale and the sale applies to economy, premium and upper class seat bookings as well as upgrades booked during the offer period.

To book, go to the Virgin Atlantic website to select your destination and travel dates. Select “View price in points” under “Advanced search” and then the cabin you want – economy, premium or higher class.
