There are about three months left until the official presentation of the next iPhone from Apple.

But a new video clip may give us our best look yet at what the hotly anticipated device will look like.

A leaked clip posted on the X reveals an iPhone 16 case that has reportedly been made to the exact specifications of the new phone.

It suggests that the iPhone 16 will have a new button located on the right side, which could be a game-changer for selfie fans.

According to some reports, the iPhone 16 is set to be released in September and is expected to be the most expensive smartphone Apple has ever released.

The video was posted on X (Twitter) by @UniverseIce, who TechRadar describes as a “reliable” tipster who leaks information about tech products.

In the clip, the edge of the case clearly has a slot where users could press the new button.

Dubbed the ‘Capture Button’, it allows users to activate the camera much faster than before and ensure they capture fleeting moments.

A single press of the Capture button takes photos and starts video clips, offering users an alternative to tapping the screen.

This is confirmed by previously leaked image renders showing the new button in the same position – on the edge to the right of the screen below the existing power button.

Renders obtained by 91mobiles show the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro with a new Capture Button (circled in red) right below the existing power button.

What’s more, the new clip suggests that the camera lenses on the back will be arranged vertically rather than diagonally – again supporting the claims from the previous leak.

It’s unclear why Apple would opt for this vertical lens alignment, though it could be related to the new Vision Pro headset.

According to BGR, Apple wants all of its iPhones to shoot “spatial video” that can be played back on the Vision Pro, but that requires a vertical camera setup.

Already released in the US, the Vision Pro will be launched in the UK next month for a tempting £3,499.

MailOnline has contacted Apple for comment, although the tech giant generally does not comment on any rumors prior to release.

Like last year’s iPhone 15, the iPhone 16 is expected to be launched in four different versions – iPhone 16 (standard model), iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

However, it is not certain whether all four iPhone 16 models will get the Capture Button, or which model the case in the new clip would fit.

Apple’s first ever mixed reality headset, the Vision Pro (pictured), allows users to select apps with their eyes. It is released in the UK, Australia, Canada, France and Germany on July 12
The iPhone Pro and Pro Max versions have long had three camera lenses in an “arrow” alignment – with two on the left and one on the right (pictured). But starting in 2021, standard versions of the iPhone have two lenses facing each other diagonally

According to MacRumours, the screen size of the two Pro models – the two most expensive options – will increase compared to the iPhone 15 equivalents.

The Pro model’s screen size will increase from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches, while the Pro Max’s screen size will increase from 6.7 inches to 6.9 inches, the report said.

Although exact pricing is unclear, it is expected to beat the iPhone 15, which starts at £799 / $799 for the standard model, while the most expensive variant, the Pro Max, starts at £1,199 / $1,199 and goes up to £1,599 / $1,599. for 1 TB of storage.

The rendering also shows that Apple is working on the iPhone SE 4, Apple’s latest “budget” SE smartphone, and an upgrade to the iPhone SE 3 from 2022.

The release of the iPhone 16 will be accompanied by a new major software update, iOS 18, which will include a lot of AI-powered features – if you’re not in the EU.

Apple’s new AI update won’t come to European devices until next year due to privacy concerns, the tech giant admits

It was the most anticipated feature that was unveiled at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) this year.

But Apple now says that Apple Intelligence and two other major updates will arrive on devices in the European Union next year at the latest.

In a statement, the tech giant revealed it would delay the rollout of its massive AI update in the EU due to privacy concerns arising from the Digital Markets Act (DMA).

Apple says it will also delay iPhone Mirroring for Mac and improvements to SharePlay screen sharing due to “regulatory uncertainties.”

MailOnline has contacted Apple for more information, but it is not yet clear whether UK users will be affected.
