Live: Serious incident and police cordon near McDonald’s in Bristol

A police cordon is in place following a stabbing in Concorde Street, near Cabot Circus, in Bristol, this evening, Thursday 27 June. Photos taken at the scene show police tape outside the charity supermarket, near the McDonald’s at The Horsefair. As we receive more information, we’ll bring you updates in live blog posts below.

Police cars and ambulances were also on the scene. The attacker remains at large this evening and a search is underway for the offender who possessed the knife.




Avon and Somerset Police issued a statement. It read: “Police are investigating after a teenage boy was stabbed in Bristol this evening, Thursday June 27. The 999 call came in at around 7.40pm just after the attack which happened near The Horsefair junction, Hanover Court and Concorde.” Street.


“The police immediately attended. The suspect was said to be part of a small group of youths who fled after the assault.

“The boy was taken to hospital with injuries which are not currently believed to be life-threatening. He is believed to be under the age of 16 and his next of kin are conscious. Uniformed officers are searching for the suspect. If you saw what happened , or have any footage or information that could help, call 101 quoting reference number 5224167149.”

Police are looking for a suspect

Police are hunting a knife attacker after a teenage boy was stabbed in Bristol city centre. Officers were called to the scene at Cabot Circus today, Thursday 27 June, shortly after the attack at around 7.40pm.

A cordon is in place near the McDonald’s at the junction of The Horsefair, Hanover Court and Concorde Street. A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said officers are currently searching for a suspect who is believed to have been part of a small group of youths who fled after the attack.

Statement by the police after the attack in the city center

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said:

Police are investigating after a teenage boy was stabbed in Bristol this evening, Thursday 27 June.
The 999 call came in at about 7.40pm, just after the attack, which happened near the junction of The Horsefair, Hanover Court and Concorde Street.
The officers arrived immediately. The suspect was reportedly part of a small group of youths who fled after the attack.
The boy ended up in hospital with injuries that are not currently considered life-threatening. He is believed to be under 16 and his next of kin are aware of this.
Uniformed police officers are searching for the suspect.

Teenage boy stabbed downtown

A teenage boy has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Bristol city centre. Officers were called to the scene in Cabot Circus at around 7.40pm today.

Uniformed officers are still searching for the suspect, a police spokeswoman said.
