We’re just over a week away from Samsung’s summer Unpacked event, and the full specs for its new watch have leaked.
The full spec sheet for the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Watch 7 has been detailed by Dealabs, along with some potential colors. The larger Ultra model will seemingly debut with a 1.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 x 480. The device is said to arrive in one 47mm variant with dimensions of 47.4 x 47.1 x 12.1mm.
Internally, the paper adds that the Ultra variant could feature an Exynos W1000 chipset with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Samsung’s version of Wear OS, the One UI Watch 6, is said to greet users right out of the box.
The 590mAh battery with fast charging capability was also highlighted. Users can expect NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, 4G, Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz connectivity options. For its sensors, the alleged spec sheet lists GPS, light and geomagnetic sensors, gyroscope, barometer, BioActive, temperature and heart rate sensors.
IP6X dust resistance and 10 ATM water resistance round out the alleged specs for the Watch Ultra.
The publication adds that the colors of the device (at least in France) include Titanium Grey, Titanium White and Titanium Silver for its 47mm size. The device is also said to fetch a price tag of €699, roughly $750, in France. It’s worth noting that pricing is always tricky, and Samsung is likely to adjust it accordingly for each region.
The Galaxy Watch 7 is said to have the same array of sensors as its Ultra sibling. However, the paper says that consumers may see two size variants: 40mm and 44mm. The former could see a 1.3-inch Super AMOLED display, while the latter could have a 1.5-inch Super AMOLED as the larger model. The same Exynos SoC is also said to be part of the watch.
The Watch 7’s RAM and storage options are the same, but the differences arise in the battery. The smaller 40mm could see a 300mAh capacity, while the 44mm mains has a 425mAh battery. These sizes are similar to last year’s Watch 6 and 6 Classic.
The post adds that the Watch 7 could have the same IP6X dust resistance, but its water resistance is rated at 5 ATM.
The 40mm variant of the base model with Bluetooth is said to offer green and cream variants for €319 (~$342). Its 44mm variant with green and silver color scheme can cost €349 (~$374). The sheet suggests that its 40mm Bluetooth/4G version could fetch a price of €369 (~$395), while its 44mm could be offered for €399 (~$428).
The Watch 7 has appeared on an Amazon retail listing with a preview of several features. The BioActive sensor remains consistent between the two leaks, though Amazon’s listing mentioned a “Daily AI Companion,” which likely refers to the Samsung Galaxy AI. In addition to similar colors, the listing said consumers can expect the Watch 7 by July 16, just six days after unboxing.
Elsewhere, the Galaxy Watch Ultra recently appeared in some official-looking renders with the Buds 3 series. From the now-removed images, the Watch Ultra was seen with a durable band, a square body, and a circular watch face with a few physical buttons.
Samsung has confirmed that its summer Unpacked event will take place on July 10 in Paris, France, and consumers can start pre-ordering their devices.
