McDonald’s is getting a head start on its birthday celebrations in the UK by launching a special limited edition menu this July.
The fast food chain, which will be 50 years old in the UK this October, has introduced several new products and announced the return of some iconic burgers.
Starting July 17, customers will be able to get their hands on three new desserts, including the Milkybar Raspberry Ripple McFlurry, Munchies Cookie Dough McFlurry, and Birthday Cake Donut.
The colorful ring donut will feature a strawberry filling, topped with buttercream flavored frosting and sprinkles. While the Milkybar McFlurry consists of soft ice cream, Milkybar mini chocolate drops and sweet and tangy raspberry sauce.
Similarly, the new Munchies consists of ice cream, chocolate covered Munchies cookie pieces and caramel dough sauce.
For those who prefer something salty, we have good news because the epic Double Big Mac is back, as is the Double Big Mac with bacon. Yep, your favorite burger just got bigger.
McCrispy BBQ Smokehouse also appears in the lineup for the first time from October 2023.
This chicken burger features crispy coated chicken topped with smoky BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, red onion and lettuce, all in a sesame-style sourdough bun.
But the fun doesn’t stop there, as McDonald’s is also launching brand new garlic cheese dippers.
They can be ordered as a side or sharing box and it’s a twist on the classic mozzarella scoops. These cheesy mozzarella chunks are seasoned with garlic and chives and coated in ciabatta-style breadcrumbs. They are served with a rich tomato dip.
And last but not least, the chicken sharebox will remain on offer this summer, so you can still get your fix of chicken selections, chicken nuggets and a range of dips.
However, there is one downside to this menu switch, which is that some of the current items will disappear.
The Hat Trick burger, a triple pack with two slices of cheese, grilled onions, mustard and ketchup in a sesame seed glazed bun, will be leaving the menu, as will the Skittles McFlurry and Galaxy Chocolate and Raspberry Pie.
The Galaxy Caramel McFlurry is also ready to go as it is replaced with new flavors.
You’ll have to be quick to get your hands on any of these, as the last chance to enjoy them will be July 16th.
It comes after McDonald’s recently launched the American favorite in the UK – which is still available.
The Oreo Frappe was launched on June 26, which is an iced dirnk with a vanilla base, blended with ice and Oreo pieces, and topped with whipped cream and more Oreo pieces.
The sweet treat will set you back £3.09 for a regular and £3.39 for a large and will be available until September 3.
