The best early Amazon Prime Day deals: D&D, board games, and more

Prime Day doesn’t officially start until July 16, but Amazon doesn’t seem to have gotten the memo and is rolling out some amazing deals soon. Some of our favorite games, accessories, collectibles and toys are already on sale ahead of the main event in mid-July.

Major benefits include discounts on Modern Horizons 3 pro pack Magic: The Gathering, Dune: The War for Arrakis board game and the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro wireless gaming headset, as well as dozens of deals on our favorite movies and games.

Of course, we’ll keep an eye out for all the best deals before Prime Day and update this page accordingly.

The best Prime Day video game deals

It’s one of the best Mario RPGs out there, which is no small feat considering the competition. This Square Enix and Nintendo collaboration has been lovingly remastered for the Nintendo Switch era and is on sale from Amazon for $39.75 (was $59.99).

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown reimagines the time-based platformer as a living Metroidvania for the Nintendo Switch, which you can pick up for just $29.98 from Amazon (was $49.99).
Armored Core 6 is FromSoft’s Mech magnum opus, packed with as much narrative intrigue as frenetic combat. You can get the PlayStation 5 version for $48 from Amazon (was $59.99).
Octopath Traveler II brings together eight interconnected stories in a refreshingly modern take on classic console RPGs. Both the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 versions are on sale for $39.99 from Amazon (list price $59.99).
Persona 5 Tactics is Atlus’ take on the turn-based tactics genre – go figure XCOM but with a cat that can turn into a bus. The PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch versions cost $30 from Amazon (list price $59.99), while the Xbox version costs $35.
Sonic Superstars is a new twist on the 2D Sonic formula. Yes, we knew what we said. Amazon sells the PlayStation 5 and Xbox versions for around $30 (list price $59.99).

The best Prime Day toy deals

Joytoy offers some of the best Warhammer 40K action figures and there are a number of excellent selections on sale for Prime Day. For example, Blood Angels Intercessor is on sale at Amazon for $26.99 when you clip the coupon on the page (was $29.99).

Another Joytoy option for worshipers of the Omnissiah, the Warhammer 40K Skitarii Ranger Action Figure is currently on sale for $34.57 on Amazon (was $45.60).
Many consider six barrel Strong arm be the default Nerf Blaster. This slamfire blaster features a flip-up chamber for easy loading and is currently on sale for $9.99 on Amazon (originally $19.99).

Dune: The War for Arrakis is the latest board strategy game inspired by Frank Herbert’s sci-fi saga. The War for Arrakis it offers asymmetrical starting options for up to two players and comes with enough miniatures to suffocate a sandworm. This epic board game is currently discounted to $122.99 on Amazon (was $139.99).

7 wonders is what happens when you do Age of Empires to a card game. This simple and fast empire building game is currently discounted to $51.72 (was $59.99) on Amazon.
Azul is a board game where you work with your friends to create an excellent tile mosaic. This beautiful board game is on sale on Amazon for $31.97 (was $39.99).
Possibly the greatest board game ever made, HeroQuesta simple, fast, miniature dungeon-crawler, is currently discounted to $66.48 on Amazon.
Ticketthe classic route-building game from Days of Wonder is currently available for $43.97 on Amazon (originally $54.99).

The best Prime Day MTG deals

The Modern horizons 3 Bundle is the best way to introduce yourself to the greatest Magic: The Gathering 2024 expansion. This box contains nine booster packs for Modern Horizons 3, a foil card with alternate art, 30 lands, a life tracking cube, and a storage box.

An amazing package containing all four Commander Decks for the Fallout Universes Beyond expansion for Magic: The Gathering it’s on sale on Amazon for just $179.08, its lowest price ($240).

The best Prime Day D&D deals

Despite the revised 5th Edition rules coming out in September, this gift set, which includes the Player’s Handbook, Monster Manual and Dungeon Master’s Handbook, is excellent value. The gift set includes a DM screen and special edition foil covers for the rulebooks, plus a storage box.
