Samsung can’t stop leaks! A week before the next Galaxy Unpacked show, the detailed specifications of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 have been leaked. And this leak reveals some interesting things about the Galaxy Z Fold 6’s screen and the Galaxy Z Flip 6’s battery and performance.

There’s also something really exciting about the durability of both phones.

Galaxy Z Flip 6, Z Fold 6 Specifications

Legendary leakster Evan Blass (aka @evleaks) leaked marketing images of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 via his newsletter Substack. The leaked images reveal that both phones use Armor Aluminum for the frame and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for the display cover. Expected that Samsung will use a titanium frame for the Galaxy Z Fold 6, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

More importantly, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 have IP48 dust and water resistance. While this isn’t as good as the IP68 rating for high-end bar-style phones, it’s still a significant improvement over the IPX8 rating typically found on foldable phones.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 uses the same large displays – a 3.4-inch cover display and a 6.7-inch foldable display – as its predecessor. The 3.4-inch OLED display retains a resolution of 720 x 748 pixels and runs at 60Hz, while the 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display has Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz variable refresh rate.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 has a 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen with HD+ resolution and a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen with QXGA+ resolution. Both screens have a variable refresh rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of up to 2,600 nits. This matches the screens on the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Both phones use Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy processor with 12GB RAM and 256GB/512GB storage. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 may also be available in a 1TB storage variant. Both phones run One UI 6.1.1 software based on Android 14. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 has a vapor chamber system for more efficient cooling, a first for the Galaxy Z Flip series phone.

Both phones also have Galaxy AI, so you can use features like Circle to Search, Interpreter Mode and Notes Summarization. But we can’t spot any new Galaxy AI features that were previously rumored. Chat Assist appears to have been improved and optimized for the Galaxy Z Flip 6’s cover screen, making it easier to reply to messages through context-sensitive responses designed by Galaxy AI.
