Excruciatingly sad dashcam footage shows an excited family preparing for a baby’s arrival… then return home days later with an urn of ashes

Touching doorbell camera footage showed an excited family preparing for the arrival of a new baby…and then desperately returning home with an urn of stillbirth ashes.

The couple, who named themselves Jessie and Nate, 32, decided to share the sad clips on Tiktok after asking Jessie’s sister and brother-in-law to be godparents to their unborn son, whom they named Matthew.

Clearly delighted by the request, Jessie’s brother-in-law can be heard saying: “The good vibes were definitely in there,” while pointing to the “Good Vibes” mat.

A couple from Naples, Florida went to the hospital just before Christmas. Unfortunately, their longed-for son was stillborn on December 25.

Later footage shot by the same doorbell camera shows a grieving family bringing Matthew’s ashes home in an urn after the child’s cremation.

Despite the magnitude of the tragedy they’ve faced, Jessie says she’s still happy to see the anticipation of her loved ones at being asked to be Matthew’s godparents.

Jessie shared the two clips on her TikTok page, captioning her post: “Thank you Ring. We watch these shots often.

“We are so grateful to have these moments captured. I hope to capture some happy moments one day too.”

In an interview with Newsweek, Jessie said her water broke on Christmas Eve and what should have been the happiest day of her life turned into a nightmare.

Hospital staff were unable to find her baby boy’s heartbeat and an ultrasound confirmed he had died.

She told the paper: “Our world shattered as we dealt with an unimaginable loss, even as I went on to give birth.”

A day later, on Christmas morning, Matthew was born and Nate added: “He was perfect in every physical sense. 10 fingers, 10 toes and a head full of thick, curly brown hair.

“His 9-pound, 5-ounce frame and 22.5-inch length embodied his rugged presence, [but] in spite of his perfection he did not breathe.’

The couple spent the day cherishing time with their baby as family members gathered around the couple, singing and kissing their baby boy.

Jessie added: “We sang to him, held him and kissed his tiny fingers and forehead. Nate and I said one last prayer for him before we said our last goodbyes as he was being prepared for the funeral home.’

She said the hardest moment was watching their sister cover his pram with a white sheet and wheel him away.

The footage they shared on their shared TikTok page has since been viewed more than 4 million times.

Users who commented on the video clip also noticed that the doormat that said “Good Vibes” had been removed in the second clip.

Responding to one commenter, Jessie replied: ‘That was the first thing I asked my husband to throw away when we got home.’

One person said; “The mother who disappeared punched me in the stomach. I am incredibly sorry for this tremendous loss, Mom. I pray for healing.”

Another added: ‘Matty will be missed forever, the way you all loved him was endless. I am so sorry for the loss of your child.’

Jessie also told the paper that after they returned home, the couple’s closest friends and family rallied around them.

She said: “We held a moving memorial service which was attended by almost 300 people [and] Matou’s godfathers were tasked with driving [him] after the service home in your sweet urn.’

Following the tragic death of their baby boy, the couple have since created Matty’s Corner, a personal stillbirth support group.

Nate said the group helps “provide comfort to parents who have experienced the profound loss of a child.”
