Aquatic Paradise Field Research Quests in Pokemon Go

By spinning a PokéStop during the Aquatic Paradise event, you can get an exclusive research task in Pokémon Go. These quests can be saved to your field research collection for after the event, but you may want to complete them during Water Paradise as the rewards can help you complete the above collection challenge.

Here are the Aquatic Paradise field research tasks in Pokemon Go:

  • Catch 5 Water type Pokemon reward – 500 Stardust or 5 Great Balls
  • Catch Ducklett reward – Corphish, Finneon or Frillish encounter
  • Explore 1 km reward – 1 rare candy
  • Explore 3 km reward – meeting Clamperl

Corphish and Clamperl can be obtained through event-exclusive research quests.

Everything else we know about Aquatic Paradise in Pokemon Go

The Water Paradise event is running until Tuesday 9 July at 20:00 (local time) in Pokemon Go. During this time, you have two bonuses to take advantage of – an increased chance of encountering Pokemon using Incense and, best of all, a double XP catch. (I like some double-catch XP.)

Aquatic Paradise also marks the release of Shiny Ducklet and Shiny Swanna, its evolution, in Pokémon Go. If you fancy adding a shiny duck and swan to your collection, be sure to keep an eye out for these new variants.

There are also a number of Water Pokemon that appear more often in the wild during the event:

  • Horsea
  • I’m old
  • Wingull
  • Corphish
  • Clamperl
  • Ducklett
  • snazzy

Using Incense during Aquatic Paradise will also cause the following Pokémon to appear in the wild:

  • Shellder
  • Lapras
  • Finneon
  • snazzy

Finally, Aquatic Paradise has a paid timed research quest that offers an encounter with Ducklet and four Lucky Eggs. The task costs $1.99 or the equivalent in your local currency. It is irreversible and cannot be purchased with PokéCoins, but can be gifted to a player you are great friends with or above. If you purchase this quest, you will have to complete it by Tuesday 9th July at 20:00 (local time).

I hope you enjoy the Aquatic Paradise event!
