Dead By Daylight is a fantastic multiplayer experience, and it’s already huge thanks to numerous collaborations with licensed horror icons. However, the universe is set to expand even further through behavioral planning to release several by-products. There’s The Casting of Frank Stone later this year, but Behavior Interactive and Midwinter Entertainment just shared fresh concept art for another new multiplayer game set in the DBD universe.
There’s a lot to look forward to in the very near future for Dead By Daylight. The July 2024 schedule confirms the release date for the new 2v8 mode, and we’re also set to get Lara Croft as a new survivor in conjunction with the launch of Tome 20. Then, when this month ends, all eyes will turn to Chapter 33, which is a crossover with CastleVania.
All of the above is exciting for the core Dead By Daylight experience, but fans can also expect new spin-offs. The most famous is The Casting of Frank Stone, but there is also the cooperative multiplayer shooter Project T.
New concept art for the Dead By Daylight Project T side project
Project T is a new multiplayer spin-off set in the world of Dead By Daylight. It was brought to light again on the 8th anniversary live stream and is in early development with no ETA on when it will be released.
While there is no estimated launch window, you can stay on top of developments by joining the Insider Program. This will give you a newsletter to see how development is progressing and also give you the opportunity to be part of the game testing and provide feedback.
The very first newsletter was recently released and shows off the game’s new concept art. As shared by Dvveet on Twitter, the concept shows three playable characters. A woman is new along with a man in a yellow jacket, and the concept art also shows forebodings, unique weapons, and another chicken monster known as Thrall.
The Project T First Look video features even more concept art of the game along with gameplay and very early development details.
According to Behavior Interactive’s World Expansion announcement, “Project T is a 1-4 person co-op PVE shooter from the world of Dead By Daylight”. Rather than being called Survivors like in DBD, the protagonists you play as are instead “Tresspassers, a wild group of characters trapped in a vast, unexplored area of The Entity’s Realm called The Blackwater”.
Again, it’s very early in development, but the prospects for a co-op DBD PVE shooter are undoubtedly exciting. It is developed by Midwinter Entertainment, a behavioral interactive company. This is different than The Casting of Frank Stone, which is being developed by indie studio Supermassive Games.
While there is no estimated time when Project T will be released, Casting of Frank Stone is slated for 2024. No launch date has been confirmed, but a leak suggests a September release date.
