We all wear clothes that are sometimes a little too big, but one woman admitted that they always go up for a heartbreaking reason.

Mik Zazon is a blogger who works to normalize natural bodies on her platform and talks openly about body image. From talking about looks to mental health, she shines a light on the reality of issues many people face.

She is honest, sincere and to the point, which is why she has gained over 960,000 followers on Instagram. But her latest post reveals just how much body dysmorphia can take a toll on a person’s life.

The influencer shared a number of pictures of herself looking in the mirror, but revealed that she sees something very different when she looks back. Because of the condition, she doesn’t see herself the way others see her.

Body dysmorphia is a mental health condition in which a person spends a lot of time worrying about their appearance and it becomes a constant worry in everyday life. Mik recently shared an honest and open post about how this affects her personally, and it struck a chord.

Mik wrote on Instagram: “I would give anything to know what I look like, to see myself as others see me, untouched by the cruel lens of body dysmorphia and endometriosis. Every look in the mirror is a twisted story, a reflection twisted by doubt and.. . the truth? The face and body I’m trying to establish.

“Endometriosis writhes inside, I hate this tireless thief who steals comfort, steals normalcy. What remains is a stranger who doesn’t fit into my clothes.”

“An indescribable pain pulses through my core, a constant reminder that the battles within are changing the size of my body and the perception of it I wear. I dress in clothes two sizes bigger, my fingers falter, I’m unsure, I search for familiarity but find only questions.” .
