Blogger Mik Zazon is using her platform to try to normalize natural bodies. She boasts 960,000 followers on Instagram thanks to her authentic content – and recently revealed why she always wears bigger clothes
We all wear clothes that are sometimes a little too big, but one woman admitted that they always go up for a heartbreaking reason.
Mik Zazon is a blogger who works to normalize natural bodies on her platform and talks openly about body image. From talking about looks to mental health, she shines a light on the reality of issues many people face.
She is honest, sincere and to the point, which is why she has gained over 960,000 followers on Instagram. But her latest post reveals just how much body dysmorphia can take a toll on a person’s life.
The influencer shared a number of pictures of herself looking in the mirror, but revealed that she sees something very different when she looks back. Because of the condition, she doesn’t see herself the way others see her.
Body dysmorphia is a mental health condition in which a person spends a lot of time worrying about their appearance and it becomes a constant worry in everyday life. Mik recently shared an honest and open post about how this affects her personally, and it struck a chord.
Mik wrote on Instagram: “I would give anything to know what I look like, to see myself as others see me, untouched by the cruel lens of body dysmorphia and endometriosis. Every look in the mirror is a twisted story, a reflection twisted by doubt and.. . the truth? The face and body I’m trying to establish.
“Endometriosis writhes inside, I hate this tireless thief who steals comfort, steals normalcy. What remains is a stranger who doesn’t fit into my clothes.”
“An indescribable pain pulses through my core, a constant reminder that the battles within are changing the size of my body and the perception of it I wear. I dress in clothes two sizes bigger, my fingers falter, I’m unsure, I search for familiarity but find only questions.” .
“When will my body return on its own? Or is this… my new size? Distorted images dance in the mirror’s harsh light, curves and contours become twisted truths, reality slips from my grasp and is replaced by a version of myself I don’t want.” Claim.”
She also noted that she would “give anything” to see the strength in her fight. Mik said she knows she has a “warrior” inside her who is trying to find peace with the person she sees in the mirror.
The content creator made it clear that she is on a journey and trying to accept herself, but she knows it will take some time to get there. Yet she still tries and continues to fight to find inner happiness.
Since she shared the post, more than 35,000 people have liked it. Fans have also thanked Mike for being so open about the condition – they think it’s really inspiring and helps a lot of other women.
One person said: “This is beautiful. I feel so deeply. Thank you for sharing, thank you for still talking about this, thank you.”
Another added: “I hate to see you go through this but I’m in awe of how strong you are. You got it! I also love the powerful caption you added to these gorgeous photos of you. You are amazing inside and out.”
Meanwhile, a third replied: “Beautiful words, Mike. I’ll tell you how others see you. Happy, full of light and positive energy, vulnerable and raw. Beautiful inside and out.”
