Pokemon Go Fusion, including an explanation of how to get solar and lunar fusion energy

Fusion allows you to combine two Pokémon to create a completely new creature Pokémon Go. The Pokémon in question are Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma which were released along with the Go Fest 2024 mechanic.

As their names suggest, you’ll need Necrozma if you want to use them Fusion in Pokemon Go, but it’s not the only requirement. Fusion also requires either Solgaelo or Lunala, a tablespoon of Necrozma Candy, a pinch of Cosmog Candy, and then either Solar or lunar fusion energy. Fusion is worth the effort as it gives you access to the Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist Beam adventure effects.

So read on to find out everything Fusion in Pokémon Gocounting on it how to merge Necrozma. We will also look at how to get solar fusion energy and lunar fusion energythen how to separate Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wing Necrozma.

Fusion in Pokemon Go: How to Melt Necrozma

To use Fusion in Pokemon Go, you must first make sure you have Necrozma and either Solgaleo or Lunala. (Although it’s a good idea to have both Solgalea and Lunala to make sure you have access to both forms of Necrozma.) Without at least two of these Pokémon, one of which must be Necrozma, you have no chance of creating a new creature via Fusion.

There are a number of other requirements you must meet before you can perform a Fusion, but first we recommend deciding which Fusion you want to create. Combining Necrozma with Solgaele creates Dusk Mane Necrozma, while combining Necrozma with Lunala creates Dawn Wings Necrozma.

The two Fusions have different types – Dusk Mane is Psychic and Steel-type, while Dawn Wings is Psychic and Ghost. They also have different adventure effects, with Dusk Mane knowing Sunsteel Strike and Dawn Wings having Moongeist Beam. Both Pokemon will automatically learn Adventure Effect attacks when paired, so you don’t have to worry about catching a Pokemon that already knows the move. Each Adventure Effect offers a different bonus when activated, which you can learn more about in our Sunsteel Strike and Moongeist Beam Adventure Effect guide.

After you’ve decided which Fusion app you want to build, you’ll also need to gather the following:

  • Dusk Mane Necrozma – 1000 Solar Fusion Energy, 30 Necrozma Candies and 30 Cosmog Candies
  • Dawn Wings Necrozma – 1000 Lunar Fusion Energy, 30 Necrozma Candies and 30 Cosmog Candies

Necrozma Candy can be obtained by defeating Necrozma in a raid, while Cosmog Candy can be obtained by defeating Dusk Mane or Dawn Wings Necrozma in a raid. You can of course earn more Candy by using Rare Candy and having Necrozma or a member of the Cosmog evolution line (Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala) as your friend. However, if you go the buddy route, keep in mind that since they’re legendary Pokemon, you’ll have to walk 20km to get one piece of Candy.

The good news though is that Fusion has no time limit and you can have multiple Necrozma Fusions of both types active at the same time. Think of fusions as Furfrou forms – once you change it, or in this case merge, the Pokemon will stay that way forever unless you choose to make that change. So if you want to have only one of each form, you need to invest Candy and Fusion Energy twice.

Now that you’ve got the Pokemon and resources you want, it’s time to finally perform a Fusion in Pokemon Go!

To do so, you must first find Necrozma in your Pokemon Store and open its Summary page. Here you will find the ‘Fuse’ option with Solgaleo or Lunala above the ‘Power up’ option of your Pokemon.

Simply select this option and then press ‘Yes’ and your Necrozma will fuse with your chosen Legendary and transform into a new Pokemon! You will now be able to benefit from this Pokemon’s adventure effect, have it as your buddy, and use it in battle.

Remember – there is no time limit on Fusions, so Necrozma will stay that way until you decide to separate it. You can also have multiple Fusions active, Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings, at the same time.

How to get Solar Fusion Energy and Lunar Fusion Energy in Pokémon Go

Solar Fusion Energy and Lunar Fusion Energy are the energies you will need to perform fusion in Pokemon Go.

Solar fusion energy is used next to Solgaleo to create Dusk Mane Necrozmawhile Lunar fusion energy is used with Lunala to create Dawn Wings Necrozma. Remember – the time of day the Pokemon is associated with, so the day in Solgaleo’s case is related to the name of the energy you need for its Fusion.

Both Solar and Lunar Fusion Energy can be obtained using the same method – defeating Pokemon in a raid battle. Although the exact Pokemon you need to defeat varies depending on the energy you’re trying to collect. (And it’s no big surprise who you have to beat…)

For Solar fusion energyyou will have to defeat Dusk Mane Necrozma in a raid. While Lunar fusion energy requires that you defeat Dawn Wings Necrozma in raid. Yes, it’s basically the same method you use to collect Mega Energy and Primal Energy! Keep in mind that both of these Pokémon are quite strong, so your chances of defeating them by yourself are very slim. For this reason, it’s a good idea to team up with a group of players or use Remote Raid Passes when collecting Fusion Energy.

The amount of Fusion Energy you earn per raid seems to work in a similar way to the number of Premier / Beast Balls you get for catching Pokemon after a successful raid. This means that speed, friendship, and gym control can increase the amount of fusion energy you receive. For example, if you’re Team Mystic, you should earn more Fusion Energy from raids held in gyms currently owned by Mystic, and even more if you complete a raid with a friend. Looking at The Silph Road subreddit, we saw that the amount fluctuated between 100 and 170.

If you have a ticket to Go Fest 2024: Global (or have, depending on when you’re reading this), there is an alternative way to get solar or lunar fusion energy thanks to the Special Research quest released on day two (Sunday July 14) action. Since this is a branching quest, you have to decide what type of fusion energy you want to get. Although your choice also gives you a chance to grab either Solgaleo or Lunala which you can then use to link up with Necrozma.

Finally, Niantic released a series of codes offering Solar or Lunar Fusion Power ahead of Go Fest 2024 if over 2,000 people followed the official Pokémon Go Instagram account daily. You can find released codes on our Pokemon Go Promo Codes page.

Shared Sky Season and Go Fest 2024: Global is here! Ticket holders can also catch Marshadow in the Go Fest 2024: A Shadowy Caper quest to complete The Dusk Settles! How to separate Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma in Pokemon Go

Dusk Mane Necrozma and Dawn Wings Necrozma will remain fused until the end of time unless you choose to separate them in Pokémon Go. This is incredibly useful because it means you don’t have to spend a lot of Necromza and Cosmog Candy every time you want to use Fusion, but it can be a little complicated if you want to use either Necromza, Solgaleo, or Lunala as individuals. Pokemon. Fortunately, the process of splitting a Dusk Mane or Dawn Wings Necrozma into two Pokemon again is incredibly easy.

All you have to do is visit the Dusk Mane / Dawn Wings Necrozma Summary in your Pokemon Storage and scroll down to the ‘Detach’ button above the ‘Power Up’ option. Pressing it will bring up a quick summary showing the Pokémon you receive from un-Fusion along with their CP levels. Now all you have to do is select ‘Yes’ and the Pokemon will return to its original form.
