Airlines, banks and broadcasters around the world are affected by the collapse – believed to be the result of a problem with Microsoft and global cyber security firm Cyberstrike.

The global IT outage is affecting major services including airlines, banks, healthcare and broadcasters around the world.

This is believed to be melting is related to a problem by software company Microsoft and global cyber firm Crowdstrike – although it is not known if it is the same problem affecting airports and train services around the world.

Microsoft said Friday morning that it was continuing to address the “ongoing impact” of its 365 apps and services, which are in a “degraded state,” while Crowdstrike said in an automated message that it was aware of reports of crashes.

Here’s what we know has been affected so far. The list will be updated as we learn more.

Health care:

NHS England says “most GP practices” are affected – many unable to book appointments or access patient records

Independent pharmacies – some do not have access to prescriptions and drug supplies have been affected

No known impact on 999 or emergency services

Israel says the outage there affected 16 hospitals

AIRPORT:

Heathrow – flights “operational”, but there are delays
Luton – use of manual systems for check-in services
London Gatwick – delay warning
Manchester – Some airlines take longer to check in
Edinburgh Airport – longer waiting times due to outage
Stansted Airport – Check-in services are manual
Liverpool Airport – Airlines Affected
Birmingham Airport – some check-in delays
Belfast Airport – The board is used to provide flight details
Berlin Brandenburg Airport in Germany
All Spanish airports
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol
Budapest Airport
Sydney Airport in Australia
Singapore Changi Airport

Jet2 – the necessity of hand writing luggage tags

Ferry services

Port of Dover – People have been told to expect longer waiting times

Emergency services:

911 lines in Alaska, Arizona, Indiana, Minnesota, New Hampshire, and Ohio
